I love trying to capture light and atmosphere in my paintings.

Entirely self-taught as an artist, I have been painting for over 25 years.  I was trained as a primary school teacher, but since moving to Cornwall with my husband and young family, I have painted in my studio, which overlooks the beach. My favorite medium has always been watercolour, but for the last few years I have been producing highly detailed graphites of animals and children. They have been extremely popular with collectors.

My one-man exhibitions have raised over £8,000 for various charities including Macmillan Cancer Care, the Samaritans, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Children's Hospice SW and my local Surf Life Saving Club.   Last year I was elected as a member of the Birmingham Watercolour Society and have sold paintings at their exhibitions. My paintings have been hung in the Mall Galleries, are hung worldwide and have been used by national card companies.   I was featured in Cornish magazines to commemorate the bicentenary of Richard Trevithick inventing the Puffing Devil, as well as commemorating Donald Healey's centenary. I have also been featured in The Wildlife Artists magazine. One of my artworks won an award and I was invited to the House of Lords and afternoon tea to receive it.
